Future Fantasy Baseball Prospects

Listed below is the Sport Fanatics top 50 future fantasy baseball prospects. We see these players as having the best fantasy seasons for the upcoming three years from 2008 through 2010. To make the rankings, the player must have less than 130 major league at bats or less than 50 innings pitched entering the 2008 baseball season.

Some players like Justin Upton, Adam Jones, Asdrubal Cabrera and Kevin Slowey fell just over the 130 AB or 50 IP threshold and are no longer considered "rookies". If they had not reached the AB or IP threshold they would have been on the list below. Also, we did not include any of the 30+ year old players that came over from Japan during the offseason because at this point they are really not prospects.

Please note, I will be updating these rankings until the 2008 season begins and providing comments on the players listed in the near future. (ETA=Estimated time of arrival when the player will reach 130 AB or 50 IP.)

Dynasty League Prospects

The 10 players listed below are still several seasons away from joining the major league club, but should be watched if you play in a dynasty league. These are players not listed in the in the table shown above because they are projected to be making the major league squad in late 2009 or after.
