Tiers: Based on typical starting lineup of 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 K and 1 DEF/ST

- Elite team defense/special team, best team at their position.

- Very good team defense/special team, not quite in the elite class but better than a typical fantasy football starting defense/special team.

- Good team defense/special team, worthy of a spot on your starting fantasy football roster.

- Average team defense/special team, not worthy of a spot on your starting fantasy football roster but a quality team defense/special team that could be used as a starter on occasion.

- Below average team defense/special team, would not consider as a starting team defense or special team, but would be ok as a backup.

- Poor team defense/special team, only draft if you are desperate for a backup.

- Bottom of the barrel team defense/special team, avoid drafting at all costs.
