Babe Ruth is the career slugging percentage leader with a .690 slugging percentage during his career.

 

Ted Williams is the career on base percentage leader with a .482 on base percentage during his career.

 

Barry Bonds is the career home run leader with 762 and base on balls leader with 2,558 during his career.

 

Hank Aaron is the career runs batted in leader with 2,297 runs batted in during his career.

Walter Johnson is the career shutouts leader with 110 shutouts during his career.

 

Ed Walsh who pitched from 1904-1917, primarily with the Chicago White Sox, is the all-time earned run average leader with a 1.82 ERA during his career. His best season was 1908 when he went 40-15 with a 1.42 ERA in 464 innings pitched and 269 strikeouts. In 1910, Ed was 18-20 with a 1.27 ERA in 368.7 innings pitched. How do you have a losing record with a 1.27 ERA?

 

Nolan Ryan is the career pitching strikeout leader with 5,386 strikeouts during his career (9.55 per 9 innings). Randy Johnson is the career leader in strikeouts per 9 innings pitched with 10.61.

 

Trevor Hoffman is the career saves leader with 591, Mariano Rivera is second with 526 (both are still active pitchers).
